Pearceite R090041

Name: Pearceite
RRUFF ID: R090041
Ideal Chemistry: Cu(Ag,Cu)6Ag9As2S11
Locality: Uchucchacua mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru
Source: Tony Jones
Owner: RRUFF
Description: Aggregates of black hexagonal plates, X-ray diffraction indicates that it is type T2ac. Chemistry has not yet been completed to determine mineral identity with certainty.
Status: The identification of this mineral has been confirmed only by single crystal X-ray diffraction.

RAMAN SPECTRUM
RRUFF ID:
Sample Description: Unoriented Sample. Unable to collect valid spectra under laser 532 nm because sample burns at every power level. Under laser 780 nm, at 10% power, defocused, sample still slightly burns, though at 1%, spectra do not show Raman peaks.
Instrument settings: Thermo Almega XR 780nm @ 10% of 600mW
