Mineral locality data provided by mindat.org

The Mineral Evolution database is currently under development.

The goal of this page is to present localities at which the mineral is found, and estimates of the oldest possible geologic age of the minerals at these localities.

Michelle_711Moolooite occurs at this locality as a product of weathering copper sulfides with bird guano. Moolooite occurs as micro-concretionary crusts and powder in cracks and solution cavities resulting from the sulphide oxidation. It is found associated with opaline silica, gypsum, brochantite, antlerite, atacamite, whewellite, sampleite, and libethenite.
Michelle_713Gneissic and siliciclastic lithologies of the Glenburgh Terrane. Deformed during the D2g event of Glenburgh Orogeny (see above). Overprinted by low-grade metamorphism during the 1820–1770 Ma Capricorn Orogeny. Intruded by Moorarie Supersuite (ca. 1820–1770 Ma)
