Michelle_000573 | Concretions bearing whewellite are found in the marine Ohio and Olentangy shales, Ohio. Concretions are described as septarian limestone and often fossiliferous, commonly from one to three feet in diameter. Other minerals within the concretions include fluorescent calcite, dolomite, ankerite, barite, marcasite, quartz and sphalerite. These concretions are found throughout the Devonian Ohio shales. |
