Mineral locality data provided by mindat.org

The Mineral Evolution database is currently under development.

The goal of this page is to present localities at which the mineral is found, and estimates of the oldest possible geologic age of the minerals at these localities.

(2004)10.1016/j.crte.2004.06.009CRG336_1255The age for this deposit was derived from the age of mineralization the nearby Bourg-d’Oisans area ~ 5km south of Allemont (Allemond). Specifically the age of hydrothermal mineralization at La Gardette. There is no scientific liturature on the Les Chalanches Mine in Allemont, or on mineralization in the Allemont. So, the age of the deposit at La Gardette ~ 5km south of Allemont will be used. 39-36 Ma. The mercury at Allemont is associated with silver.
