Michelle_500Silver bearing veins intrude fossiliferous limestone in the Coastal Cordillera of Iquique. Dioritic and andesitic dykes and sills form skarn, but the ore is primarily from the oxidized zone. Supergene and hypogene ore mineral assemblages have also been exploited.
