(2012)10.3749/canmin.50.4.873CM50_873A tectonically active setting for the San Luis Range after the supposed emplacement of the dumortierite-bearing pegmatites is documented by the Ar–Ar age of muscovite from a sheared kyanite – staurolite – muscovite ± sillimanite pegmatite located 24 km to the north of Virorco, dated at 375±1 Ma (Sims et al. 1998).
