Users of Windows XP may find a "garbled" view when they first launch
XtalDraw, such as illustrated in the image below.

This is due to a video accelerator setting that can be easily
changed.
1) Right click on your desktop and select "Properties".
2) Click on the tab labelled "Settings".
3) Click on the button labelled "Advanced".
4) Click on the tab labelled "Troubleshoot".
5) Adjust the "Hardware acceleration" slide bar to a lower setting
and test it by clicking on "Apply" and reopening XtalDraw.
