(1988) | 10.11456/shigenchishitsu1951.38.39 | MG38_39 | The age given is the Rb-Sr dating of the altered rock which contains Uranium and Hematitic minerals along joints and fractures. Pp. 41-42: 302 to 245 Ma, which corresponds to Carboniferous to Early Permian age (EL MANHARAWY, 1972). They are cutting quartz veins, felsite dikes related to the late-orogenic granites (at Wadi Kab El Abiad, Wadi Um Huyut and on the northern bank of Wadi Hammaria) and lamprophyre (at north G. Abu Hibban). Some bostonite dikes cut each other in Wadi Kab El Abiad and south G. Um Shaghir indicating that there might be more than one phase of bostonite activity. |
