One of three very similar samples of good quality with an average dated age of 2.31+/-0.03 that are thought to be from a single volcanic flow. The three samples in question (87-193, 211, and 213 respectively) were collected over a 15 km radius to the west of the Merri Creek
One of two samples from poor-quality outcrops which lead the author to believe that there is an older volcanic flow underneath the area which sample 87-193 was collected. The samples from 87-183, 211, and 213 were all surface level rocks which were collected while the 194 and 195 samples were found in a more eroded outcrop.
