Locality Notes from all Ages at Locality:
Age IDLocality Notes
Michelle_511Jomac Mine occurs in the Triassic Shinarump Formation containing uranium ores, organic material and clays. It is the TL for oswaldpeetersite, with the mineral occurring within a siltstone bedding plane.
Michelle_744The Triassic Shinarump member of the Chinle formation hosts the Blue Lizard Mine and other significant uranium deposits in the White Canyon District.
Michelle_745Ore minerals were deposited as replacement of wood and other organic material and as disseminations in the enclosing sandstone found in paleochannels.
